Bill McKibben

William Ernest McKibben, known as Bill McKibben, is an American environmentalist, author, and journalist. McKibben has written extensively on the impact of global warming. He is the Schumann Distinguished Scholar at Middlebury College and leader of the climate campaign 350.org. The campaign aims to raise awareness and call for action on global warming. Furthermore, McKibben played an important role in launching the opposition to big oil pipeline projects, and the fossil fuel divestment campaign. He was awarded the Gandhi Peace Award in 2013 and Utne Reader magazine listed McKibben as one of the “25 Visionaries Who Are Changing Your World.”
